Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS / TMS)

*Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS / TMS) for use in any case that does not fit FDA guidelines is considered off-label. Only one device is cleared by the FDA for use as a second-line antidepressant after medication failure, and Brain Treatment Center does not use this device. Use of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation rTMS / TMS in any situation besides specific depression cases with a specific rTMS / TMS device is considered off-label use. Use of even an FDA cleared device for any case but specific depression cases is still considered investigational and off-label. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS / TMS) treatment at the Brain Treatment Center is used off-label through the prescription of a primary care physician or psychiatrist, which can be obtained through our staff psychiatrist.
